Habibie's last poetry for Ainun,

"Actually this isn’t about death, it’s not that.
Because, I know that all is sure to be nothing in the end,
and death is something definite,
and this time it’s your turn to go, I really know it.

But what struck me in such a great,
is the fact that death can actually decide happiness in a person, a moment, and then it was able to make me a miserable half-dead, like my heart is not in place, and my body felt empty, and lost it’s contents.

You know darling, it feels like the wind changed suddenly gone dry arid.

At this time the tears were falling, I tuck a long farewell,
the loyalty you’ve carved, the bitter sweet memories while you’re there,

I’m not going to complain, but it’s too short you’re here.

They thought I was a good lover for you dear,
without them knowing that you’re the one that makes me become a good lover.
How could I devoted my habit if it’s ambiguous, but you taught me loyalty, so I’m loyal, you taught me the meaning of love, so I could love you like this.

Good-bye,

You are from Him, and back to Him,
you were gone for me, and now again gone.

Good-bye dear,
my eyes light, my soul conditioner,
good-bye,
My Heaven Prospective Angel …."

- Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie -

Mr. B.J. Habibie is an Indonesian engineer who was President of Indonesia from 1998 to 1999. He succeeded Suharto, who resigned in 1998. His presidency is seen as a transition to the post-Suharto era. Upon becoming president, he liberalised Indonesia's press and political party laws, and held an early democratic election in 1999, which resulted in the end of his presidency. His presidency was the third, and the shortest, after independence.

Habibie was married to Hasri Ainun Besari, a medical doctor, from 12 May 1962 until her death on 22 May 2010. The couple had two sons, Ilham Akbar Habibie and Thareq Kemal Habibie. B. J. Habibie's brother, Junus Effendi Habibie, was Indonesian ambassador to the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. After his wife's death, Habibie published a book titled Habibie & Ainun which recounts his relationship with Hasri Ainun from their courtship until her death. The book has been adapted into a film of the same name which was released on December 20, 2012.
